We go out of our way to hire quality team members. All of our employees are either firefighters or aspiring firefighters. We hire young men and women going through either Cadet programs with various cities or students of the Fire 1 and 2 class. We believe that when the team members take care of the customer, the customer will take care of Code 3. Donations and Recycling
We begin every mattress disposal service by sending out a two person team to your property. We arrive with the necessary equipment to haul off your old mattress or even take your bed apart if necessary. We have made donations and recycling a staple of the “Code 3 Way.” We try to recycle appliances or scrap metal at American Metals Recycling Center in Mesa or the nearest appropriate facility. When we can donate your unwanted items we choose the Salvation Army, Goodwill or Saint Vincent de Paul. As a last resort we take the items to the transfer station or dump. Unfortunately, with mattresses they do end up in the landfill. If at all possible, we like to see items be able to be reused but that is just not always an option.
